Discover how a Spanish psychologist is helping the carers in Venezuela’s overextended nonprofits.

Bastion’s primary goal is to support the organizations working to provide access to education and a suitable environment for learning.

One way to do this is to listen to their needs and help them solve them.

That was the way we learned about a group of Venezuelan nonprofit employees and volunteers who were having a tough time dealing with the terrible things they see every day at their job.

We all know that kids in Venezuela are suffering malnutrition and health issues; the hospitals are lacking supplies; the schools have no teachers. But what we don’t always realize is that the people who attend those kids and sick people are suffering as well, because it is heartbreaking to witness the needless suffering.

We partnered with the renowned Spanish psychologist Aurora Gavino to help them.

Aurora has been volunteering her time to work with the organizations. After several conversations, she has developed materials and training to address this issue.

This is still a work in progress, but one of the organizations is already offering the first workshop for their volunteers.

We are very grateful to Aurora for her time and her generosity.
