Objectives:

The project aims to support two of Udayan Care's programs:

  1. The Shalini Fellowship funds the last two years of High School (11thand 12thgrade) and the 3 - 4 years of College. The girls are selected based on their needs, ambition and talent and are provided with high- end vocational training and employment in Delhi and its suburbs
  2. Udayan Ghars are Homes based on the Group Foster Care Model. 12 children under 18 per group raised by Mentor Parents, lifetime volunteers who care for the children with the help of a team of social workers and caregivers. The homes are located in middle-class neighborhoods to help children reintegrate into society. The Ghars are committed to the holistic development of child, including ensuring education in good schools with strong attention to mental health.

  • In the Shalini Fellowships: 50 girls living in North Delhi and the Greater Noida
  • In the Ghars:
    • Kurukshetra Home for Girls
    • Mayur Vihar Boys Home
